As promised, here are some images from my latest performance… title: “boxing the artist anti-hero”… it was done in a vitrine window underground in the centre of the city of Stuttgart, on March 2nd, 2010. The performance duration was 2 hours and it was extremly cold down there. The viewers and the amazing girls: Sarah, Lea and Roselyne, that helped me realize this project were really freezing alot. You rocked it ladies

IVAN CIVIC – THE ARTIST SUPERHERO -LIMITED EDITION GOLD
Dear friends,
Wel well well… I am in Dubai right now and just finished performing last night at the Tashkeel art center. I have been in Dubai for the past six days and have been working form 9am to midnight aproximetely! It was exhausting, but I had to get everything ready for the performance I was planning on doing. I had to go around the city and film different skyline views of Dubai, then I went to film artificial buildings, put them all together in one video and added a lot of 2D animation to wrap it up in a video-game style piece with a lot of comic superhero effects… sprayed and painted with gold 100 canvases and stuck them to the wall where the projection was and all took place in such a fast rhythm that I was “overpowered”…
The image you can see here is a still from my video. Real Dubi landscpes blend in with my toys sprayed in gold… it’s all so electric…

Ivan Civic – “The artist superhero-limited edition gold” – performance
Dear friends,
I am now finalizing the last details for my new performance which will premiere May 10th in Dubai. More details about the venue and time are coming soon. The title of the performance is: “THE ARTIST SUPERHERO-LIMITED EDITION GOLD“… I will mutate myself into a hard working, gold making, blood sweating machine… The anti-hero inside will strike again!
